Good food and outstanding service are core ingredients that make The Thatch what it is.

Peter takes time to ensure that the freshest of ingredients are sourced for our daily changing menus using local produce wherever possible.  Seasonality also influences choices over dishes, providing a choice to suit everyone.

Dietary requirements of the special type do not scare us, we are more than happy to tailor any of our dishes to suit your needs, given prior notice.

Our restaurant offers a service that is special, we value each one of our customers requests and respect their differing requirements whilst dining with us.  We do not cram tables into gaps where there shouldn’t be a table or un-necessarily rush our diners, allowing you to actually enjoy your meal without feeling trapped in or pressurised!

Children are welcome at The Thatch, although we do not offer a set children’s menu which features the usual, we like to offer the little ones the same as adults only scaled down in size and price to suit their appetites.

Pre dinner drinks, coffees and after dinner drinks can be enjoyed in front of the comforting “real” log burner stove during cold winter months or out on the sun blessed terrace in warmer weather, with a good selection of complimentary newspapers and magazines.
